Alecia Moore, more commonly known as Pink, asked the question to motocross star Carey Hart as he was racing, holding up a sign saying “Will you marry me?” He kept on racing, not sure if she was joking – and next lap she had added a “Serious!” to the bottom of the banner. The couple married six months later, and now have a young daughter.
When David Otunga proposed to Jennifer Hudson on her 27th birthday, she thought it was only right that he get the same experience. On David’s next birthday, then, the A-list singer had a men’s ring designed by the same jeweler who had created her engagement ring – and surprised him with the meaningful gift.

Billie Piper proposed to radio DJ Chris Evans when she was 18, on his 35th birthday. The Doctor Who companion and former pop star married Evans in Las Vegas, after six months of dating. The pair separated three years later, and remain friends.
Married to seven men over the course of her lifetime, Elizabeth Taylor only proposed marriage once. In 1952, she asked Michael Wilding, a fellow actor, to marry her. She had two sons with Wilding, before the marriage broke down. She was wed to Mike Todd the following year, in 1957.
Not to be outdone, Zsa Zsa Gabor perhaps held the record for the most celebrity marriages – and the most proposals. She was married to nine men throughout her life, including Conrad Hilton and actor George Sanders. Zsa Zsa often joked about her notable love life, famously saying, “I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house.”
