Awards season is now in full swing, with last night’s Golden Globes an exciting introduction. It’s always wonderful to see the gowns and jewelry celebrities choose to walk the red carpet in; here are our favorite looks of the night.
Kate Hudson wowed in 22-carat diamond drop earrings by SLANE for Forevermark. Her white Versace dress paired with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Brian Atwood shoes, was a truly stunning look. We adore the gown’s glittering details.
Uzo Aduba, nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Orange is the New Black, looked absolutely stunning in a bejeweled Randi Rahm dress. Accented with a Kimberly McDonald diamond tennis bracelet and stud earrings, this star was a real red carpet winner.
Making her awards season debut, Amal Alamuddin accompanied husband George Clooney, there to accept his Lifetime Achievement award. While George wore the very same tux as he said ‘I do’ in, Amal opted for a Dior couture gown and Harry Winston jewelry. Her diamond drop earrings were truly stunning. She finished the look with elbow-length white gloves, for a traditional touch of formality.
While Julianne Moore beat her to the award for Best Performance in a Motion Picture, Jennifer Aniston was glowing in a custom black Saint Laurent gown. Neil Lane drop earrings in yellow gold with black onyx, and a simple yellow gold cuff accented the look – and her gorgeous rose-cut diamond engagement ring – to ensure a red carpet highlight.
Currently starring in the nominated Into the Woods, Anna Kendrick was a fairytale vision on this year’s Golden Globes red carpet. Fred Leighton drop earrings in matching rich ruby red complemented her Monique Lhuillier gown. An on-trend face of delicate rose makeup completed the romantic look.
A 2014 nominee, Lupita Nyong’o was colorfully chic in a Giambattista Valli dress, finished with Chopard jewels. The amethyst gemstone drop earrings and delicate purple eyeshadow perfectly complement the floral feel of her gown. Lupita is set to appear in the upcoming Star Wars movie.
The always-flawless Salma Hayek was dressed in an ivory Alexander McQueen brocade gown. Wearing feather-shaped diamond earrings by Boucheron, and roses in her hair, the 48-year old actress lit up the red carpet. Her large diamond cuff brought balance to the look, as she carried her Alexander McQueen knuckle clutch in the other hand.
Into the Woods star Emily Blunt opted for a gorgeous Grecian gown by Michael Kors, accessorized by Lorraine Schwartz flower drop earrings with diamonds and blue tourmaline. Their naturally inspired design brought a playful elegance to the red carpet.
Glamorous and glittering Kate Beckinsale arrived in this exquisite Elie Saab gown. Kate opted to toughen up the mauve skirt, by accenting with a black manicure and dramatic jewelry. A wraparound Lorraine Schwartz bracelet and matching chandelier drop earrings gave a luxurious edge to the entire ensemble.
Radiant in red, Best Actress nominee Viola Davis rocked the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globes. In an embellished Donna Karan dress and Fred Leighton diamond jewelry, this look was the perfect blend of sparkle and elegance.
In a plunging metallic halter neck gown by Atelier Versace, Jessica Chastain was one of our style favorites. Those Piaget chandelier drop earrings were the perfect accessories, while her delicate gold eye makeup complemented her naturally red locks. Has Jessica ever got it wrong on the red carpet?
