The best of New York fashion week jewelry

New York fashion week is now over – next stop, London! First, though, let’s take a look at the most striking and elegant jewelry looks we’ve seen on the catwalk so far.

If you need further proof that yellow gold is back, take a look at the Cushnie et Ochs models. Gold fan earrings, a mix of slim and chunky arm cuffs, and layered yellow gold bib necklaces; this look was modern and utterly luxurious.

proenza schouler 2015 jewelry

A subtler take on the classic metal, Proenza Schouler sent the models down the runway in geometric stud earrings, complementing their checked shirts and 1970s-inspired snakeskin print.

3.1 philip lim jewelry

Splattered with metallic paint, these hinged resin chokers at 3.1 Philip Lim were a nod to space age style. Juxtaposing with perfectly embroidered jackets with curvy silhouettes, the effect was a delightful mix of influences.

jenny packham 2015 jewelry

Revered for her stunning bridal collections, Jenny Packham’s designs are feminine and whimsical. Ornate drop earrings set with natural gemstones in classic yellow gold are the dream accompaniment.

oscar de la renta 2015 jewelry

As Karlie Kloss exclaimed in an Instagram caption, “There is no one on earth who makes a woman feel more beautiful than Oscar De La Renta”. The iconic designer dressed his models in delicate shades of pastel pink, ivory and black. Statement drop earrings in complimentary colors featured clear crystal gemstones, for a fun and fresh take on classic feminine style.

rodarte 2015 jewelry

There’s pierced eyebrows, and then there’s pierced eyebrows! We always look forward to the Rodarte show, and they did not disappoint this season. Inspired by mythical mermaids, with artful embroidery and lots of ruffling, we saw the influence of Vivienne Westwood in many of the looks. The eyebrow jewelry was undoubtedly a reference to the punks who first wore the iconic Dame’s creations, back in 1970s London.

Which was your favorite look at New York fashion week? What are you hoping to see on the catwalk in London?
