As the fifth largest city in California, Fresno isn't short on shopping resources, especially those purchases involving wedding bands and engagement rings. Jewelry customers here enjoy an extensive array of retail options that match or even surpass some specialty shops and services found in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco.
While inventory and variety is important, customers often have specific preferences to certain styles depending on their geographic location. This is especially true of engagement ring styles, as demonstrated in a recent survey by Ritani. The study found that West Coast jewelry customers are uniquely diverse in their preferences. For example, in Washington State's Seattle and Spokane regions most consumers preferred halo ring sets. Further south in Portland, Tigard and Lake Oswego Oregon shoppers gravitated toward classic engagement ring sets. California consumers from San Francisco all the way down to San Diego chose solitaire engagement rings as their favorite style. The Golden State's preference for solitaire rings runs contrary to the national trend, which gravitates to halo style engagement sets by more than 48%. Solitaire ring styles feature a single diamond in a variety of cuts, including round, cushion, princess and emerald. The designs of the gemstone mounts vary, but one of the oldest is the six-claw (or prong) mount, established more than a century ago. While Californian couples may prefer the solitaire style over the classic and halo ring configurations, quality bridal jewelry stores never limit their inventories to chase trends. No matter what your ring style preference, you'll find plenty of diverse bands, precious gem shapes and other wedding and engagement ring options in the Fresno area.
