Eva Amurri's Stunning 14-Carat Custom Engagement Ring

During their recent Paris vacation, chef Ian Hock got down on one knee to propose to actress and Happily Eva After blogger Eva Amurri with a ravishing, custom-designed 14-carat engagement ring in hand. Amurri, who has been dating Hock since 2021, is the daughter of Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon and film director Franco Amurri.

The couple met one evening while Amurri and a mutual friend dined at Hock’s Westport, Connecticut restaurant. Amurri, a mother of three with her ex-husband, former soccer player and sports broadcaster Kyle Martino felt an instant connection with Hock while they chatted at his restaurant. The fluent French-speaking duo consider themselves foodies and bookworms and share other mutual interests, including going to museums and hockey. Hock, whom Amurri calls her “unicorn,” proposed to her in the garden of the Rodin Museum, Amurri’s favorite museum in Paris. Amurri announced her engagement on Instagram, quoting lyrics from Taylor Swift’s hit song “Lover,” writing, “my heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue…all’s well that ends well to end up with you.” 

Amurri’s engagement ring features an enormous 14-carat emerald-cut center diamond flanked with square baguette side diamonds in a basket setting with an open gallery on a yellow gold and platinum band.
